Urgent: Nearly 2 Million Dozen Eggs Recalled for Salmonella Risk

Why the Recall?
The recall stems from a Salmonella outbreak traced back to eggs processed at the August Egg Co. facility in Hilmar, California. Symptoms of Salmonella include fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps, often starting 12–72 hours after exposure.

- Check your fridge for affected cartons with codes P‑6562 or CA5330.
- Discard or return any matching cartons—do not consume them.
- Clean and disinfect any surfaces that came into contact with the eggs.
