I made a quick run to Home Goods and the Dollar Tree this morning, and goodness a trip out to the Dollar Tree always brightens my day! 😉 (I know, I know ~ so silly but seeing what the Dollar Tree has for next to nothing is just fun.) 😉
I decided to treat my kids with a special after school surprise for surviving their first week of school in a whole new state ~ they've done great, but we have had a few tears and some tough late nights as we're all adjusting. Since they all love Nerds, I figured they were a fun little splurge to brighten up this rainy afternoon here in Ohio. 😉
Here's a peek at a few more of my favorite Dollar Tree finds . . .
Super cute ribbon all just $1
Some fun pumpkins for fall . . .
$1 helium balloons
coupon organizers
 3-pack snack boxes just $1
cupcake or cake carriers both just $1 (love that!)
$1 clothing storage bags (if you're the parent of a kid in band, you know these come in handy if they're traveling ~ last year I spent $10 on one!)
$1 foil pans – perfect if you're taking a meal to someone
$1 stones for floral vases
Birthday & school supplies . . .
And my all time favorite, school project boards for just $1 (compared to $7-$10 at your local office supply store.) LOVE THAT!
Have you found any fun deals at the Dollar Tree lately? I'd love to hear about it ~ leave a comment to share, and don't miss all the Dollar Tree deals going on this week over HERE!

You really do need to shop at different Dollar Tree stores. The one located right down the road from my house has nothing. But, the one that is BBC about five miles away is a bigger store and they have everything. So if you have two or three stores in your area check them all.

One of my favorite things at my Dollar Tree is hands down coloring books and activity books for kids. I have my two great nieces that live with me and Dollar Tree has always been my number one place for getting workbooks and coloring books. They carry a variety of age and grade levels as well as activities from ABC’s to Reading Comprehension.

I don’t usually see that many great items at our Dollar Tree in north Alabama. Really like the fall decorations!! Will have to check around at different ones.
Laurie says
Do check around Angela – they vary a LOT by store!!! I’ve been able to get great items for my Christmas tree at the store in Alabama (I got them at the one on University in Huntsville), just keep checking back.) 😉

Just got some Fig Newtons and Nonni biscotti for $1.00 (PA) ! But as you all know, it's hit or miss with name brands. 🙂
Laurie says
Love that Angie – thanks for sharing!

I just posted from my sisters account by accident, lol, that me posting as Valerie 😉 oops

I love Dollar Tree, but let me tell you, I was visiting my sister this past weekend and her dollar tree is twice the size of ours and has some really cool stuff. I was so jealous! I would have bought a ton if it weren't for the sales tax, I don't worry about that at home lol.

I love Dollar Tree! I visited the first store over in Chesapeake when they first got started. I will never forget taking my hubby to Dollar Tree for the first time after he retired. He kept asking me if I was sure that everything was a dollar. He took off in the store and came back with armloads of stuff!

We found some made in the USA lip gloss (Lip Smackers brand) that costs $4 to $5 a piece in the grocery stores. My girls were really excited! They are always asking for that kind of stuff and I am always saying no because I really don't want them putting stuff on their lips that comes from China. (Just my own, personal quirk.)

Passionate Penny Pincher We also just recently purchased some of their tall Pilsner beer glasses to serve as vases for our wedding centerpieces, and frames for our table numbers. Finding creative ways to use everyday items is like double the bang for your buck!

Thank you for saying something Andrea – that's so good to know! I love Dollar Tree for so many things (especially Christmas decor), but am so glad you said something about the wire cutters.
Andrea Lebron says
The wire cutters are awful! Do not purchase! I can say that many of our holiday decorations and kitchen storage have come from Dollar Tree and they last years! Its my holiday secret weapon! We also purchased our entire Thanksgiving holiday table settings (plates, candle holders, decor, and glasses) from Dollar Tree and no one even know!
