What are ECBs?
I actually don’t even know what you mean by “CVS machine,” either.
Maybe write out instructions completely, maybe an instruction sheet wit all abreviations, and how to find the machine, etc… There is no way I can figure out what you mean, so so far I have never tried any of these types of deals that you meantion.
Hi JHG! ECBs are Extra Care Bucks – money that you get back at CVS in the form of a receipt that you can use towards future purchases. The CVS machine is a machine inside the store that prints out coupons. Hope that helps!
Wanted to let you know everything was fine today using a $4/20 CVS coupon and then all my ECB applied at the end. It was the same store, but different cashier. It really bothers me though that a manager doesn’t know how their coupons work. Thanks for your reply so I knew to try again!

I agree with you that the regular prices, especially for the shampoos, are really high. You can get them at Walmart for so much cheaper. BUT, if you work the CVS system, you can get some really great deals. Thanks for all you do!
I was at CVS today, and both the manager and CVS associate told me that Extra Bucks apply BEFORE any $10 off $40 coupon. Are you finding this to be true? Wondering if they’ve changed their policies, or if the people I spoke with today have no idea what they are talking about. They made me spend $40 to use the $10/40 CVS coupon printed at the kiosk after my $10 ECB from earlier this week had already been applied. Thanks!
Hey Amy! I am sooo sorry!!! I have never heard that. I looked it up and sadly it says managers can choose to refuse. I would say if you have another store go to that. I have never ever had that happen to me. I have always used my ECBs last to know how many to use. Please keep me posted if you go to another store and if that happens. Yes, it was very strange. They also tried to tell me I had two CVS numbers (one using my phone number and one with the app) and they were wrong about that. I’m going to try again with a $4/20 coupon I have and see if it works. I have shopped at this particular store for over 10 years and never had this issue before. I’ll let you know if it happens again. I’m in Columbus, OH for reference. Thanks!
My CVS are making the cashier’s have you give you the EB before you actually know how much you have spent. And if you don’t know exactly how much you end up wasting your earned bucks! They’re answer to that is it will show up as a void and then corporate office sometimes think they are doing favors for certain people.

My last 2 large/ coupon heavy transactions crashed their systems 🙁
it may just be the area i live in (north central florida) but the RMN inserts NEVER have any of the coupons you list. 🙁 i don’t even bother to buy sunday papers if RMN is the only insert, just not worth it.
