UPDATE:   I just received my ad this morning, and apparently the Huggies Extra Care Bucks are only working in certain areas.  To find whether or not your area is included, see the complete CVS ad online, and look for page 9.  If it looks like the picture below you will get the Extra Care Bucks. If not, head to Walgreens for their Huggies deal. I apologize for the inaccurate information!

The CVS deals are fabulous starting this Sunday:  for a whopping $5.84 $8.33 you can get as many as 15 items at CVS this week, including TWO packages of Huggies, two Schick razors, two shaving creams, and quite a few more great steals.  (After going back to the cheap razors last week, I can’t wait to stock up on the Schick Hydro Razors this week . . .  it’s the little things in life that make me happy!) 🙂

Here’s my top scenario for CVS this week:

Transaction #1

Buy 2 Skintimate Shave Creams $2.19

Buy 2 Schick Hydro Razors $7.99

  • Use (2) $4/1 Schick Hydro Razor, EXP 7/24/11 (SS 06/12/11) or $3/1 Schick Hydro Razors recent printable; hurry and grab this one on Sunday before the $4/1 coupon expires, also if they’re out remember to ask for a raincheck and see if they’ll take your coupon with the rain check even after the coupon expires (my store has allowed that before)
  • Use (2)$1/1 Skintimate Shave Cream$1.50/1 Skintimate Shave Cream, or $1/1 Skintimate Moisturizing Cream Shave, exp. 8/6/11 (SS 06/26/11)
  • Pay $10.36 out of pocket, get $10 in ECB

Transaction #2

Buy 1 ReNu Contact Solution $6.89

Buy 1 Kotex Tampons, Pads or Liners $3.49

Buy 1 Papermate Pens $1.99

Buy 1 Bengay or Tylenol Precise starting at $5.49

Buy 1 small filler item

Transaction #3

Buy 2 Huggies Little Movers Jeans or Swimmers $15.98

Transaction #4

Buy 3 Softsoap Handsoaps $2

Buy   2 Crest Pro Health1 $2.99

  • Use (3) $1/1 Softsoap Pampered Hands or $.35/1 Softsoap coupons from 7/24/11 SS
  • Use $1/1, $0.75/1 Crest Toothpaste from 7/3 PG or 6/5 PG
  • Use $3 ECB from Transaction #3
  • Pay $1.49 out of pocket, get $7 ECB $1.99 out of pocket, get $5 ECB (which you can use to buy more free Crest!)

That’s like paying $5.84 $8.33 plus tax after coupons and ECB’s for 2 packages of Huggies, 3 Softsoaps, 1 Crest Toothpastes, 2 Razors, 2 Shave Gels, Bengay, Papermate Pens, Kotex & Renu, or $.59 per item . . . WOOHOO!  If you don’t need diapers, CVS also has quite a few back-to-school deals that you could use all those ECB’s towards. . . Happy CVS’ing!

Why don’t printable coupons have numbers on the barcode? I am scared to they won’t work at the register. I tried to use my classico coupons at Kroger and the cashier said they wouldn’t scan b/c there were no numbers on the barcode.

    • Laurie says

Hi Rachael! I’m looking at a printable coupon right now, and it does include numbers below the lefthand bottom of the coupon. I’m wondering if there are issues with your printer? (Or maybe that coupon?) I’ve never had a problem with a store accepting a manufacturer coupon that was printed, as long as it did have a bar code. Hmmmm . . . I’d love to know what yours looks like!

    • Sarah says

Ahh! Just kidding! I went to the store and almost tried to do this before I realized that the coupon is for the bigger size and it’s the itty bitty ones that are on sale. Oops!

    • Laurie says

It definitely changes everything. I just looked in my paper and apparently this is by region. In some areas it is showing up, but not all areas are included. I sooooooo apologize for getting you guys excited (I was pretty excited myself!) 🙁

  2. MEGAN L. says

I honestly do not see that on the ad. I guess i’ll just pick them up at Wags. They seem to have a better deal. Thanks!

    • Laurie says

They do have a great deal too – I don’t think CVS ads vary by area, but it’s way down in the corner (I just happened to see it as I was skimming the ad for extra deals yesterday!) Walgreens deals is great though! 🙂

      • Michele says

SOmeone just told me that page 9 is always very regional. I will not get that deal in SoCal either. But still great info Laurie. Thanks!

        • Laurie says

I’ll definitely remember that in the future! I’ve shopped CVS for years and never knew that – I feel horrible!

    • Laurie says

I just saw that . . . I’m hoping to find another one but so far no luck (hopefully some people have them from the inserts – that’s the better of the coupons!)

  3. Michele says

The math in Trans #4 doesn’t seem right. Are you buying 1 toothpaste but using 2 coupons? That is the only way the math works but is that possible? Thx

    • Laurie says

I looked at this at least a thousand times to re-check the math, but it looks like you’re right! Okay, I’m going to update it (arghhhhh!) I’m so sorry about that! It’s still a great deal, but I think I re-worked it a jillion different ways and missed needing to purchase 2 Crests. Thanks so much for letting me know! (Sorry guys!)

  4. Jean says

Both the Bengay and $3/1 Schick Hydro razor coupons are gone…. so much for this deal! Maybe another time!

    • Laurie says

Hi Jean! Those were available when I first posted the deal (I’m sorry!) I just checked the Schick Hydro and it’s there – but the Bengay does look to be gone. I think you can substitute with the Tylenol Precise though 🙂

      • Jean says

No problem! I tried getting the Hydro coupon, but it said the campaign was out of prints… any ideas on that?

        • Laurie says

I just checked and it’s gone now 🙁 (Do you have one from the paper?) I looked on Schick’s site hoping I could find one but no luck – when I posted it it was still available, but I know tons of people had it up on websites b/c of the CVS deal so I think Schick went through those prints fast! I hate that!

    • Heather says

Also, if you don’t have the bengay coupon and you don’t but the product how will that effect the transaction?

      • Laurie says

You could substitute with the Tylenol Precise (I added the info), or it will add about $1.50 to your total. (It was a $1.50 money maker with the Bengay priced at $5.49). Hope that helps Heather!

    • Laurie says

Those went fast Shelly! They came out last night, but apparently didn’t last even 24 hours. I hated not to include them in the scenario, but it won’t be that much more if you use the $.35/1 coupons in tomorrow’s paper.

    • Laurie says

It was available a few days ago, but I’m afraid it’s already gone (I was hoping that it wasn’t, and that maybe most people printed it!)
