What kind of pork should I use for a Cuban pork sandwich? What about buns?

A pork shoulder (otherwise known as a Boston butt) is the meat of choice for a Cuban Sandwich. Roast pork, or in our case, slow cooked pork will give you a tender result. A traditional Cuban sandwich is made with sliced pork and thin slices of ham. So feel free to throw some ham on your sandwich as well!

A Cuban loaf is the bread of choice. However, these may be hard to locate unless you have access to a Latin market. You can sub with a soft French loaf or even hamburger buns.
