Have you heard of a capsule wardrobe? If you have a hard time coming up with an outfit every day, consider creating a Capsule Wardrobe with classic pieces you love! We recently found a bunch of clothing staples at JCPenney that are timeless, comfortable, and can be worn in multiple ways.

What is a Capsule Wardrobe?

BUT…what exactly is a Capsule Wardrobe? It’s basically a smaller selection of interchangeable clothing pieces that complement each other – they allow you to create a variety of different outfits with only a few pieces of clothes that you love and feel comfortable in. Not only is it more affordable and sustainable, but it’s less stressful when trying to come up with an outfit! Who doesn’t need that these days??

My biggest tip for creating a Capsule Wardrobe? Pick a color scheme that you like first (neutrals tend to go with most everything year-round). Then select 10-20 pieces consisting of 2-3 pairs of jeans/denim shorts, 2-3 layering tops, 1-2 jackets/cardigans, 1-2 skirts/dresses, 2-3 pairs of shoes, etc.

Note that you may need to adjust your capsule wardrobe based on the season. You can also create a separate capsule for each season (for example, find 1-2 pairs of shorts you love instead of jeans for summer, etc).
