Bad news if you've been prepping to pack your kids lunchboxes with Capri Sun!
On August 12th, the Kraft Heinz company announced some disturbing news and called for a voluntary recall of Capri Suns.
In the press release they said that due to customers complaining about a weird taste – they looked into the matter and discovered that a diluted CLEANING SOLUTION used on food processing equipment was accidentally mixed in with a batch of Capri Sun.
But don't panic! No one has yet been made sick from the mixup – and not all flavors were affected. Here's what you need to know:
- ONLY Wild Cherry flavor has been recalled
- Check your package for a “Best By” date of June 15, 2023 and a UPC of 0-8768400100-4
- 5760 Cases were recalled
- No illnesses have been reported
IF it turns out your package is part of the recall – you can either throw away your pouches (don't drink them!) or return them to the store of purchase for a full refund. For any recall-related questions – call l 1-800-280-8252.
