If your new college student is going to be cooking part of their meals – gift them this set for graduation so they can learn how to cook in college. SO FUN TOO!

A sweet friend of my son recently graduated high school and is heading off to college soon.
When he mentioned he had to cook for himself at school, I knew just what we had to get him so he could start learning how to cook in college on his own!
My son lives in a college house where lots of kids cook for themselves, so one year I sent them this Slow Cooker Meal Plan and the boys loved the recipes.
(Or at least they pretended they did.)Â Â Which made this crock-pot-lovin'-momma a wee bit too happy!
I wanted to them to live on more than grilled cheese and peanut butter 🙂Â
So, we sent him off with . . .Â
- His very first crockpot
- Our first Crocktober Book (now known as the Menu Planning Made Easy Slow Cooker Meal Plan – and we have a a TON of other meal plans now too!)
- These are GREAT to find new favorite recipes for college students to use and stay away from the fast food. They're perfect to whip up a big full meal for group study sessions and can also help stretch their budget. These meals are quick and easy and use a lot of simple ingredients they can find right at their grocery store.
- Jar of pepperoncini peppers and Au Jus gravy packet for our FAVORITE Italian Beef Sandwiches (those can sometimes be hard to find, and I wanted him to have a quick win!)
- And a little grocery cash to shop for his very first shoulder roast too 🙂
This was such a fun gift, and I'm crossing my fingers he'll let me know how it goes.  This will allow them to have easy access to so many simple recipes using the slow cooker and can eat WELL as they're away without having to hit up the dining hall or stock a mini fridge of junk!
If you've got any other fun ideas for gifts for students as they head off to college, leave a comment to share ~ I love hearing from you!
