If you’re a AAA or AARP member you get a better deal using those AWD codes. Maybe the free Amazon GC makes up for it, but the Amazon deal is pretty crappy on the surface compared to other deals out there.
Maybe the deal is better for pre-paid versus pay at the counter, or in different cities. My initial test for my regular car usage is that the deal is pretty stinky aka NOT really a deal when compared to existing run-of-the-mill deals and FAR pricier than using my corporate discount code.
