I use the cookie jars for laundry products such as tide pods and oxyclean. They are on a shelf just above my washer and dryer. It’s super convenient, but I don’t have small children at home who might mistake the laundry detergent for candy.

I bought one of these to store k-cups in. Is there anyway to keep the lid from being so klunky? I’m afraid it’s going to get a chip on it.
Laurie says
Hi Elaine! Hmm, you could maybe add something around the perimeter of the lip on the jar lid as a barrier for protection (such as food grade silicone sealant or maybe even tape of some sort), though it might be better to purchase a jar with a built in rubber gasket/seal for your k-cups, and perhaps use this jar to store something less frequently used (if you have concerns about it getting chipped during consistent use). 🙂 Hope that helps!

I put hot glue around the underside of my lid. Keeps it from clunking around.

That’s a great tip! 🙂
Cheryl Geller says
Try a few drops of hot glue around the perimeter of the lid ( let it harden, so it doesn’t glue the top on)

I clicked on the link for the 1 gallon glass jars under $9.50 and went to the Walmart website where they are $9.48 as advertised above.

So glad to hear that Susie! 🙂
