Amazon Pharmacy – NEW RxPass!
Do you take multiple medications every day? If so – and if you're an Amazon Prime member, you may be interested in checking out all of the benefits that Amazon Pharmacy has to offer. From incredibly low prices on meds to free 2-day shipping to your door and more… there are a lot of perks.
Even better, Amazon Pharmacy just rolled out a brand new membership benefit, called RxPass, that provides patients with affordable access to select medications for just $5 a month.
Yep, it's just $5 per month – NOT $5 per medication!
With RxPass, Prime members can get as many eligible medications as you need for one flat, low fee of just $5 and have them conveniently delivered for free to your door. How cool is that?
One thing to note is that RxPass does not work with health insurances, so you don’t need to worry about deductibles or copays—it’s just a flat $5 monthly add-on to your Prime membership. If your prescription medication needs change, you can easily cancel the service at any time.
Wondering if RxPass is right for you?? Take a peek at some FAQ's…
How does RxPass work?
RxPass is an add-on benefit for Prime members that gives subscribers access to the most common generic medications for a flat fee of $5 a month. You can get all of your prescribed medications on the RxPass list filled as often as you need for one flat monthly fee. RxPass also works with auto-refill so that you get all your eligible prescriptions automatically for no more than $5 a month.
What medications are included with RxPass?
An RxPass subscription includes more than 50 generic medications covering many common conditions. You can find the full list here.
Can I use my insurance with RxPass?
Unfortunately, you cannot use an HSA or FSA to pay for your RxPass subscription fee. It’s a simple flat fee—$5 a month—and it’s added to your monthly Prime membership. For other medication needs, Amazon Pharmacy accepts most insurance plans.
Do I have to be a Prime member to use RxPass?
Yes, RxPass is exclusively an Amazon Prime member benefit. If you’re not already a Prime member, you will need to join Prime before subscribing to RxPass.
Is RxPass right for me?
If you’re a Prime member and paying more that $5 a month for all of your medications, RxPass could help you save. RxPass isn’t insurance, but it can be helpful for people without insurance, or when insurance doesn’t cover certain medications. Many people with diabetes, high blood pressure, and anxiety will find that their medications are eligible with RxPass.
Is it $5 per medication??
Nope! With RxPass from Amazon Pharmacy, Prime members never pay more than $5 a month in total to have ALL of your eligible medications delivered to your door for free. All medications require a valid prescription. The flat fee is an add-on to Prime membership.
How often will my medications be delivered?
Depending on your prescription, RxPass members will have the choice to have your medications delivered on either a monthly or quarterly basis.
What if I decide to cancel?
You can cancel RxPass anytime. You will still be able to use RxPass for the rest of the month you’ve paid for, and you will not be charged again. However, note that canceling your Prime membership will also result in canceling RxPass.
When you purchase medication through RxPass, your subscription needs to be active for the entire time covered by that supply. For example, if you buy a 90-day supply of a medication, you are committing to three months of an RxPass subscription. Your cancellation will not go into effect until the end of that 90-day period.
