Aldi Pickup Now Available in Multiple Locations
Aldi has a new service available – you can now get curbside pickup for your weekly groceries!
SO many grocery stores offer curbside pickup now, so I was so happy when I saw that Aldi is now offering this as well. They tested this in a few locations, but have had such success that they're rolling it out to even more areas.
How do I use Aldi Pickup?
Step 1: Sign up for an Instacart Account
*Top Tip* – If you live in a different zip code than your Aldi store, use the Aldi STORE zip cod to be able to order your curbside pickup order*
Step 2: Head online to place your Aldi grocery order(you can also place your order through the Instacart app)
Step 3: Choose your desired pickup timeStep 4: Pick up your order at the designated time
How much does this curbside service cost?
This service charges $1.99 for each pickup service. You can have your groceries in as little as 2 hours, so paying the small fee to have your groceries delivered right to your car is a pretty nice! You may also be charged a small fee for the bags used to pack your groceries.
Are there any restrictions?
There are a few things that you CAN'T get with Aldi Pickup due to state restrictions and variations within each store. You can only buy groceries at this point with the curbside pickup – no Aldi Finds can be added to your cart. Also furniture, holiday trees, gift cards, electronics, and age-restricted products are not able to be purchased through this service.

I get the AOS items for pick up & delivery all the time! Are you not supposed to? Of course, it’s more fun to go in!

I used Instacart this weekend for off and was so sad when they included my original receipt. It cost me eight dollars more in pricing because the prices in Instacart are higher than what they are in the store. Customer service was great but it still cost me more than I am willing to pay to sit at home and not shop :-). I paid the 9.99 for the month to not be charged each time but they did refund that because I canceled within hours. So, I paid a tip, an extra fee which I don’t know what it was for and the eight dollars in difference.

I tried Instacart in April and May for Publix pick up. I was not very pleased with their service, communication and substitution.

Instacart pushes their employees to sub for every single item and the shopper is “dinged” for every item they don’t sub. They’re also one of those companies that follies the practice of looking at employee ratings with the viewpoint that anything less than a perfect 5 stars is a complete failure and might as well be a 0. I feel for them – I’m picky and I ask for no subs other than what I put into the notes. which frustrates them no end.

I have been using Walmart pickup which is staffed by their own employees and they are not allowed to take tips.
I assume that since this is Instacart/Aldi that it would be appropriate to tip, is that correct?
Thanks!

Yes, tipping is appreciated by your Instacart shopper. They are live a waitress in a restaurant, they get paid, but are helping you by being the service provider for you.
