These Walking Frito Pies are portable, filling, and so easy!

Walking Frito Pies
PPP Contributor Hannah here! 👋
I love making Frito Pie in the fall because it’s warm, cozy, and it’s always a hit with my picky-eater kids. This time, I thought we’d take it outside for football season and turn it into the perfect easy tailgating meal!
My kids love that they can customize their own bag with all their favorite toppings (no onions, please!), and I love that there are no bowls or dishes to clean up afterward. Just grab a bag of Fritos, add your chili and toppings, and you’ve got an easy, filling meal everyone will love.
These Walking Frito Pies are the perfect easy meal for tailgating, camping, parties, or feeding a crowd!

Ingredients/Supplies Needed:
- Slow Cooker Meat Lovers Chili Recipe
- Individual bags of Fritos
- Shredded cheese
- Sour cream
- Diced onions
- Any other chili toppings you love
How to make your Walking Frito Pies:
Prepare the Slow Cooker Meat Lovers Chili recipe. For easy transporting and tailgating, I used my Presto Nomad slow cooker to keep the chili warm and make serving super simple.
Open each Frito bag and gently crush the chips with your hands to make them more bite-sized.

Spoon the warm chili right into the Frito bag, then top with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced onions, or whatever toppings your family loves.

Grab a fork and dig in!

I love how easy these Walking Frito Pies are to make and everyone in my family loves it! They’re perfect for tailgating, parties, camping, or game day. You don’t need bowls, everyone can customize their own with their favorite toppings, and cleanup is as easy as tossing the empty Frito bag. Just set out the chili and toppings and let everyone build their own!
