This is the sweetest and (easiest) girls’ night idea ever!
You Have To Try This “Pint Night” Idea!
If you love easy, budget-friendly ways to entertain, this one’s for you! A make-your-own pint ice cream party is perfect for a cozy girls’ night in, a birthday party, or a fun family get-together! It’s simple, creative, and such a sweet way to spend time together, without spending a lot of money!
The idea is that each friend brings a favorite mix-in topping to share, and everyone builds their own custom pint of ice cream! It’s like creating your own flavor at a mini ice cream shop right in your kitchen.
This is one of those girls’ nights that’s so simple but feels totally special. You don’t need fancy ingredients or decorations, just a couple tubs of ice cream, a few toppings, and some good company.
Bonus: If you’ve got leftover Halloween candy lying around, this is the perfect way to use it up.
What You’ll Need:
- A few ice cream flavors as your base. We kept it simple with classic vanilla and chocolate.
- Pint sized containers: We used THESE containers so everyone could pack up their own pints to take home (or stash in your freezer for later).
- Mix-In Toppings: Ask each friend to bring one or two of their favorites to share, the more variety, the better!
If you’re doing this as a family for game night or movie night, you can get everyone involved by grabbing their favorite mix-in at the store like a sweet little family scavenger hunt!
Some of our favorite mix-ins:
- M&Ms
- Oreos
- Snickers
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Cookie Dough
- Brownie Bites
- Caramel Drizzle
- Hot Fudge
Whether you’re going for chocolate overload or a salty-sweet masterpiece, you really can’t go wrong. The fun is in experimenting!
How to Set It Up:
Step 1 – Lay it all out buffet-style so everyone can see the toppings and mix freely.
Step 2 – Scoop a base of vanilla or chocolate ice cream into your pint container.
Step 3 – Add your mix-ins as much or as little as you like!
Step 4 – Continue layering the ice cream and toppings until you fill your perfect pint.
Step 5 – Freeze for 20–30 minutes if you want it to firm up before eating… or dig in immediately. (No judgement here!)
We had fun naming our pints, too! We came up with “Chocolate Hurricane,” “Brownie Delight,” and “Cookie Monster.”
We loved how this turned out, and we love how it’s way more budget-friendly than going out for ice cream! Instead of spending $6–$8 per serving at the shop, you can grab a big tub of ice cream and toppings that will feed the whole group for the same price (and probably have leftovers). Plus, everyone gets more of what they actually love! Best of all, everyone leaves with their own pint to enjoy later, or right away if you can’t resist!
