Oh my stars, how darling is this easy Easter Egg Wreath idea?! So beautiful for springtime, and super simple to make it your own.

In this post I’ll show you how to snag an inexpensive craft store wreath and decorate with it two ways.

But FIRST – here’s a little back story though on this quick project (and why I’ve almost quit decorating? Hmph.)

Over the last few years I’ve struggled with simple, light-hearted seasonal decorating, because looking online at the “fancy” decor sites and blogs I see on Instagram and Pinterest, cutesy bunnies and happy wreaths feel just a wee bit out of style.

But I read something this weekend about making your home feel like a happy place for your own family to walk into (um, including my teenagers!) and decided I still want them to grow up remembering this happy little space, even if we don’t have the most “on trend” decor.

(Because my bunch sees happy bunnies and still grins. I’ll take it!)

So I dug out what I have at home in my Easter stash and picked up an $11 wreath, and spent 10 minutes for a happy little mantle. And you know what? It makes me smile every time I walk by.

Success.

I picked up an inexpensive store-bought Easter Egg wreath and brought it home to fluff it up a bit. I love how it turned out as a centerpiece below!

Here’s what you’ll need for this simple project:

13″ Mixed Speckled Egg Wreath

2.5″ Wired Gingham Ribbon

Weathered White Wooden Plank 18×24

Seasonal Garland

And if you find a wreath that doesn’t exactly match your home’s style, try out a little spray paint (it’s crazy what spray paint can do!)

Here they are back to back right here (I love the multi-color for my mantle, but the blue one is perfect for an Easter centerpiece. So fun!)

You could also use a bulletin board instead if you have one on hand. Look around and see what you can use in your home, then spend a few minutes to fluff it right up. I promise you’ll be so glad you did!
