If you’ve ever wondered if FabFitFun is worth it –  here are some fan favorites we’ve seen in some of our boxes that tell their own story! (Plus all your most burning questions answered!)

FabFitFun FAQs & Fan Favorites

Ever wondered what all the hype was about with these FabFitFun Boxes?  So did I!  When I tried my first FabFitFun box it was because I’d heard SO much about it from friends that I had to see for myself.  And oh.. my… word….  I could see why so many people are a little bit obsessed!

I was super impressed with the quality and value of everything in my box!! In fact, I’ve stumbled upon some of my favorite beauty and lifestyle finds through these happy boxes over the last couple years (you can see a few below!).

But I did have a few questions when I first looked into ordering a seasonal membership (Ummmm…. Obviously HOW MUCH?!  And is the stuff any good?  And what if I don’t like something in my box – can I pick something different?)  So I thought I’d try to answer some of those questions for you too!

Loving these cute items – but also used the Amika Hair straightener to style my hair and the highlighting pencil to brighten my eyes!

What is a FabFitFun Subscription Like?

FabFitFun is just plain FUN.  (Dorky confession here) I squeal just about every time I open one. I can’t help it!

It’s a box full of joy that lands on your doorstep every few months like magic and it’s JUST FOR YOU.  Little gifty lovely things wrapped up for you to open and ooh and ahh over – some self care items and fitness helpers – trendy home decor finds and maybe a cute new tote bag.   It is SO MUCH HAPPY packed up into one box!

If you’re unfamiliar with FabFitFun – it’s a seasonal subscription service that delivers a new box to your door four times a year.  Each designer box contains 8-10 full-size premium products valued at over $200.  And they’re SUCH FUN!

How Much Does It Cost?

Each season, FabFitFun packs $200 worth of FULL-SIZE beauty, lifestyle and fashion items in a seasonal box that goes out four times a year for their members.  You can subscribe seasonally and just pay $49.99 for your box — or get $10 Off right now with my code PPP10!

That is a crazy-good value!

Or subscribe annually for $179.99 to get all 4 boxes that ship throughout the year.

Is the Box Customizable?

Each curated box is full of fun surprises – but you can customize some of the items each season. Here’s how:

  • Login to your account
  • Hover over the MY BOX tab
  • On the dropdown menu click CUSTOMIZE

Seasonal Members get *3* customizations, which means your box will always be perfect for you.  (Or if you are a fan of surprises, skip the customizations completely!)

What Additional Perks Do Annual Subscribers Get?

  • Annual members get two additional customization choices in their boxes
  •  They’ll also get the chance to pick their custom options 10 days before seasonal members.
  • Early Shopping Window for Add-Ons and Edit Sales
*Add-ons and Edit Sales are once-a-season chance to snag amazing products at huge discounts
  • Early Shipping – so your box goes out in the first wave!

Am I Locked Into My Subscription?

You’re never locked into a FabFitFun subscription – you can decide how often you’d like to receive boxes! Signing up for a seasonal subscription means you’ll be billed only for your first box, as long as you cancel before the next season’s billing date. You also have the option to skip a season as well, instead of cancelling.

What Kind of Products Will I Get?

FabFitFun boxes include a fun mix of beauty, fitness, wellness and home products, with some trendy lifestyle products thrown in.  Here are some of my personal faves that FabFitFun sent in the past few boxes:

West Elm Indigo Bowls Set – $39 Value

I think these are super pretty and work for holding little snacks & condiments or being purely decorative!

R & CO Haircare Set – $64 Value

Sometimes the items in your box are worth more than the WHOLE BOX ALL BY THEMSELVES – wowza!  This haircare set retails for $32 per bottle – or $64 for the set.

Thrive Causemetics Eye Brightener

Remember at the beginning when I said I’ve found some of my favorite products through FabFitFun boxes?  THIS IS ONE OF THEM.  This lives in my makeup bag and probably will stay with me forever now that I’ve found it.  I would’ve never thought I needed this little miracle worker but it makes a big difference in making me look bright eyed and awake!

Summer + Rose Navy Diamond Tote – $50 Value

This cute little tote was a perfect Summer accessory for taking to the pool or beach!  When you pay $40 for a box and you get a super cute tote you already feel like you’ve just about got your money’s worth 🙂

Amika Straightener & Travel Bag – $80 Value

This little styler was cute & pink and a complete surprise in one of last year’s boxes!  My teenager promptly stole it for herself The 100% solid ceramic plates generate ionic, far-infrared heat, which keeps hair safe and evenly heated to protect the cuticle.

Twine Living Co Cheese Board Gift Set

Oh – did you need an extra gift to bring to a friend’s birthday or wedding shower?  Anytime I am not sure I need something I got in my FabFitFun box – that goes straight into my gift closet so I’ve always got a little something extra on hand.  Any beauty products that I may not decide to use go into my teen girls’ stocking stuffer pile!

What is FabFitFun’s Mission?

FabFitFun is more than just a fun box of full-size products that are a great value.  FabFitFun also partners with charities and female-founded companies each season.

I remember during the Summer box last time we got the mini Giving Keys necklaces – they were so dainty and sweet but as I read the jewelry card I learned more.   Supporting The Giving Keys organization helps transition individuals out of homelessness and into employment. I love that and think it’s so cool that they choose partners that give back!

So…. Is FabFitFun Worth A Shot?

All in all – I’ve always felt my FabFitFun boxes were VERY worth it.  Out of the 8 items in each box I get a few really nice items that are perfect for me – and a few that I may or may not gift away.

Y’all know I’m a frugal girl, so just know I truly do think that if it’s in your budget, getting your first box for only $39.99 is a steal.

If you’d like to give FabFitFun a try – head over here and use my code PPP10 to take $10 OFF your first box and pay just $39.99.

There seems to be a lot of unhappy responses to to articles that was placed in their box…and also a lot of “contact customer service” responses. I actually have sent thoughts about joining, now, not so much.

    • Julie says

I just got my first box and it was no where as nice as that box up above. I only really wanted it for the daisy bag other than that I got junk that you can get at the dollar store. Was really disappointed.

      • Kathy says

Dollar store? I have NEVER gotten anything that looks like it came from the dollar store or even Target. The stuff is always high end. It may not always be something I would have chosen to include on my box but the items are never cheap!

So disappointed. Received my first box Spring 2021 and it was full of junk. Cancelled my subscription ASAP. By the way…my box looked nothing like the presentation in pictures. It was all thrown into an oversized box with brown paper bag stuffing. Wreaked as if it had been in an old attic for months. Just bad.

    • Kristen ~ PPP Team says

I am so sorry to hear that Terri! Maybe contact them and see if they can do something to fix that situation, that’s not good!

  3. Sheila says

The selling point for these boxes is that you receive 6-8 full sized products, guaranteed to be worth at least $200, for a quarterly cost of $50. My thought is that although I don’t doubt that that’s true, most of the selections, although I may be able to use roughly half of them, are not things I would have gone out and purchased for myself. I have to say my trial first box confirmed that.

    • Julie says

I got my first box and I got nowhere near 6-8 full size products. I got the daisy bag. A pair of tweezers. Ugly silk hair scarf. The Aragon oil I selected. A three pack of lip masks…wth n a three pack of these face puffs I think that’s what that is. I don’t know. It was useless.

      • Laurie says

I hate hearing that! 🙁 I’m so disappointed for you (mine truly have usually been great and totally worth it as I can gift some of the items if I won’t use them, but thank you for sharing your honest feeback!)

      • Peyton says

        5 stars
See, I loved the hair scarf (and the bucket hat)! The puffs are makeup removers that are suppose to work really well! The cactus cup wasn’t really my thing, but I gave it to my sister and she’ll probably use it at a party in college.

      • Deb West says

Exactly, Terri! The spring box was full of thick, stiff brown paper and ridiculous items. Out of all those pictures above, I have received a total of 6 of those items—that’s out of 32 listed above. The spring box was full of useless, sometimes cheap items. New members seem to receive great boxes at first (Copper Canisters, black purse, beautiful shawl, cheese/crackers board, navy/white bag, blue/white crystal bowls, Amika straightener w/bag, hair care system? I have not received any of these higher priced items), but then slowly the quality changed. I am giving them one more chance to win my business. If it’s not better, I’m out. I’m taking my current box to Goodwill and at least use the box as a tax write-off. We see pictures of upcoming boxes, but none of the beautiful things arrived at my address.

        • Kelly says

My box had almost nothing I would like and could hardly even pass on to my daughters. I was so excited and got such a let down box of stuff I would never buy. Canceled.

  4. Kat Meller says

    ALSO,
Do NOT agree to “upgrade” your subscription … it doesn’t upgrade your subscription it ADDS the annual subscription to your account so that you are charged for the 1 month and then charges you for the annual subscription.

I know this because I did the one month with the discount code and while I was picking my choices, it asked in those pick your choice slides, if you wanted to upgrade to the annual subscription … I have now have over $225.00 in paypal charges that I need to wait for the refund for. I’m so disappointed … this may have been an great idea but not the way they did it…. I am thinking I will need to contest the charges since they have a NO CANCELLATION/REFUND policy on anything that has been charged.

    • Valerie says

No cancellation/refund policy just made the decision for me. Was going to check it out, but too many poor reviews to not be able to cancel.

  5. Yveline says

How can i view the store items before i subscribe?
To be able to see if the kind of products offer suit me. (Seem to habe no choose to put credit card number to be able to have a pick.)

        • Joi says

Actually, FabFitFun has a YouTube channel that they will spoil the items that will be in the upcoming season’s box. There are also dozens of unboxing videos (also on YouTube) that will show you the items available in the box. Since a lot of them are sponsored by FabFitFun, they get the boxes early, sometimes even before annual members get to make their selections. It helps me sort out what I want every season but it help you decide if that season has things you want so you know when to gwt your first box. Hope that helps.

        • Maureen says

You could also have a friend give you a code for a sample
Box that you only pay shipping for. That might give you some insight.

  6. Kathy says

If I get one for my daughter who is at school, are their specific times they are delivered? Would we be able to change her address when she’s back at home?

  7. Kathi-Lee Bates says

Ordered my seasonal box, It was amazing. I received the most comfy bathrobe, a beautiful wool scarf and make-up and other goodies. Can’t wait for the Spring box!!!

  8. Denise says

Tried it for the first time. Received my box and was very underwhelmed. I wanted this to work so bad, but it was nothing I hoped for.

  9. Mel says

I really wanted this to work. The idea of a fun surprise box is a great idea, expecially in these dire times, but I think for many of us (judging by other comments I read) when we see all the great stuff in photos and ads, then receive our box and it’s not quite the same, well…..I would be interested in knowing how many subscribers actually upgrade their purchases? I can definitely see that is if I upgrade I get nicer things but suddenly I could be paying up to $100+/box. Again, I really wanted this to work but I think the ads need to manage people’s expectations a little better. Even the pretty box is not the one I received, but of course I understand that packaging costs money, too. It comes back to managing expectations. Perhaps ads showing: 3 unique selections/ 5 unique selections/ with upgrades might be better?

    • Linz says

I agree that maybe the ad’s can be deceiving. I believe they show all items that can be available. FFF does stress though, that one does in fact, get 8 full size items way retailing 4x over the $50 for the box. Technically, there isn’t an “upgrade” to receive better products. However, if one upgrades a membership to an annual one, they have more customization options. Plus! It saves ya $20! I’m so sorry you’re having a bad experience with this… I’m like where is the Spring 2021 box already?

    • Rhonda says

It is only 49.99 per quarter, but if you sign up for annual the whole amount comes out at one time for the year. You get a discount by signing up early, customize early, shop the sales early, and your box ships early. You have to remember to customize, if you want to receive certain items. By signing up for annual you get first dibs on customizing. I have loved every box I have gotten, and I have gotten many of the items pictured in this article.

  10. Teresa Davis says

My daughter in-law sent me a coupon to get my first box Free. When I tried to use it, your website said it had expired. She has been a member for quite some time. I would really like to see what your boxes are like before I commit to a subscription.

    • Laurie says

Hmm, I’m not sure of a code for a free box Teresa, but you can try reaching out to the FabFitFun customer service to see if they have any current offers! 🙂 Hope that helps!

    • Jennifer says

Here is what agreed was gifting you.

What is a starter box FabFitFun?
It a free box with four items where you only pay for shipping ($5 in at least most of US – $8 somewhere, maybe Canada or Hawaii/Alaska?) You have to give your CC info but you can cancel before they actually charge you for a subscription.

      • Kathy says

I paid for the starter box over a month ago and have not received it. But along with the starter box I was automatically signed up for the subscription. Which I thought would be charged AFTER I received my sample box, it was deducted this morning. But I have yet to even receive my sample box. I do not think this is fair

    • Lynn says

I wanted to try fff also but I do not nor Have i ever worn make up, which seems to be mostly what the boxes are made of, which makes me VERY hesitant, to try

      • Laurie says

Many of the items are pretty high end brands, and if you have any teens or tweens who might like them they’d be great for them to try! 🙂

      • Kathy says

Actually I have been a member for two years and have received very fee “makeup” items like eye shadow, lipstick or mascara. There are more items like facials, serums, cleaning products and stuff like that but not traditional makeup. I kind of enjoy some of the facial masks and will try them out with my daughter. Any of the moisturizers or serums I have te derived are very high end and not something that would be in my budget but I have gotten some I really enjoyed using. Having them as full products not little samples is a real plus. There are also hair care products that I usually give away but a lot of the bath items are awesome. I got some Spongella’s (infused bath sponges) a few times and absolutely LOVE them! I never would have tried them if they had not been in my box.

  11. Susan Parsons says

    Very interested
How can I order 2 for my granddaughters for Christmas?? Set it up under me for the first then they can decide to keep it or not

    • Laurie says

Hi Susan! You should be able to order by clicking on the links in the post! 🙂 (For any questions about ordering, I would reach out to the FabFitFun customer service!).

  12. C Morris says

Customer service it extremely difficult to deal with. I received an email stating I could request the next box because of a CC issue and asked for the Fall box. the summer box was sold out but then was told they were sending the summer box….
Was trying to explain this and this was not handed well…. So much so I cancelled

  13. Mary Lyn Barnett says

I would like to give a subscription to my daughters for Christmas. How do they get to customize if I am the one paying for it? If I order now, can delivery be delayed until Christmas?

    • Laurie says

If you want it to be a surprise, I think you would have to choose for their first box, then they could choose after you gift it for them. Hope that helps Mary Lyn!
