Are you wondering where to buy plants online?  Here are a few good options for flowers and live plants when you can’t get to the garden store.

Looking For A Place To Buy Online Plants & Flowers?

I have just been itching to plant ALL THE THINGS in my yard lately – but with shelter-at-home in place, I know I need to stay put…   Remember this time last year when we were loving the Lowe’s Spring Black Friday sale – and just strolling through the stores getting all the flowers?  *sigh*

So I’ve started looking for places to buy plants online!   Here are some good options to get flowers, bulbs, seeds and whole plants delivered to your door:

Where to Buy Plants Online

Amazon

Amazon is an easy and painless place to buy plants – here are some that are in stock right now that arrive in a relatively short amount of time!  Note that most of these are more than we’d normally pay – but when you have limited options….

1 Gallon Pink Hardy Hydrangea   or this 1 Gallon Purple Hydrangea

Daylilies 3-Pack Risomes under $13 (Or get the full flowering plant for under $22)

Hibiscus Red 1 Quart 4-Pack under $50

Pentas 4-Pack in Pink under $25

Boston Fern 2-Pack under $47

Birds & Butterfly Wildflower Seeds 5pk under $14

You might also want to pick up some Scott’s Bulb Plant Food to help them along!

Buy CHEAP Plants Online at Walmart

The Walmart plant selection seems a little more reasonably priced.  PLUS Walmart is offering free shipping on select plants with a $35 purchase – and it looks like most things will arrive in just a few days!

1 Gallon Azalea Plant-  $16.14

Home Depot

Home Depot offers free delivery of plants on orders of $45 or more.  Some don’t arrive until later in April – but still a good option if you can wait!  Here are a few options that caught my eye:

Annuals – I love these Lantanas!

And these SunPatiens are not a bad value – 18 plants for $30!

Geraniums 4-Pack – $29

Grande Vista Supertunias 4-Pack – $29  *These get amazing reviews!

Peach Drift Rose 2-Gallon – $37, or  Knock Out Rose 2-Gallon – $37

Burpee

Burpee has long been a trusted name in seeds and plants – and they’re even running a deal right now where you save 20% OFF when you buy 3 perennials!

Here are links to some popular plants – they are selling like hotcakes and lots of plants I looked at were already sold out!

Try these Burpee coupon codes to save even more:

  • BURPEE5 for $5 off a $25 order, 10BURPEE for $10 off a $50 order, BURPEE15 for $15 off a $75 order

Tractor Supply

If you have a Tractor Supply nearby you can do free delivery to your local store and then do curbside pickup – or get your plants and seeds delivered with shipping charges.

If you want gorgeous roses, The Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham, TX ships rose bushes out September—May. They are guaranteed to survive for 6 months. The price is usually $22.95 per bush. They help you choose appropriate type for your temperature zone too to help ensure survival. Several of these roses have been found in old cemeteries and have survived for years on their own. I have 4 in containers on my front porch right now.

Our local Grocery, Buehler’s, is running a huge sale For their floral supplier on Easter flowers due to churches not needing Flowers this year. A great deal on lillies, hyacinths, and other spring bulbs that can be planted outdoors. I assume other stores or farms may be running similar deals
