8 Stores to Shop Christmas Clearance (And what to look for!)
Most years I run out with my youngest or my hubby to snag a few good deals on Christmas clearance. However this year we're mostly staying in – and from what we've seen lately pickings are much more slim.
Here are some of the best stores to try this year for new decor, lights, or other fun finds!
Keep your eyes peeled for red and green paper products (think paper plates, cups, etc), as those can be used year round – as well as red & green storage tubs. And, don't forget you can pick up things like Christmas colored Hershey kisses (save red for Valentine's, green for St. Patrick's day, etc.), so watch for deals on those too. (I'm planning to wait til that stuff goes at least 70% off – fingers crossed they don't sell out but Amazon has a few candy deals today too!
If you can wait most stores will mark their items down to 70%-90% within a week or two, however my bet is the pickings will be slim. Here's what to watch for today!
1. Craft Stores!
Hobby Lobby is usually 66% off before Christmas even gets here – and already running low on the good stuff. But if you can hold out for awhile you might REALLY score some amazing deals with 90% off bows, wrap, craft kits and more!
Michael's already has Christmas Clearance up to 70% off online, so you don't even need to head out to your store!  They also usually run a coupon right after Christmas – which makes it a great place to get next year's LIGHTS, WREATHS, and More!
2. Kohl's
Kohl's will be marking their Christmas section down 50% – 70% off! We always see some great deals on Christmas Trees – but also cute kitchen towels, candles, travel mugs, and all kinds of other decor. They have a Christmas Clearance page that has tons of great Christmas PJ deals, ornaments and more. 3 . Big Lots
This year Big Lots is one of the few places I've heard of having actually 50% off clearance the day after Christmas! (They have some great deals on Christmas Trees)
Shop for everything from trees, to holiday linens, giftwrap, paper plates and lots of giftable items as well.
4. Walmart!
Walmart will have loads of things marked down 50% off including Christmas decor, trees, lights, wrapping paper, stuffed animals, candy and tins.  You can find great deals on really practical things like baking supplies and battery-operated toothbrushes as well.
They normally have a whole aisle of clearanced toys and Pioneer Women as well….  But one of my favorite things to shop is the clearance gift sets for 50% off!

5. Target!
Target has Christmas items 30-50% off(YAY! I love the Dollar Spot clearance!), CHRISTmas Decor 50% off and candy 30% off too!
The longer you can wait it out the better your discount will be – BUT it will be slim pickings by the time everything gets marked down to 70% off. The gift sets usually don't last past 30% off in my experience – but if you're lucky you could get some even cheaper! I always buy my wrapping paper when its 70% off for next year that way I never have to pay full price. 🙂

6. CVS & Walgreens (And local grocery stores)
Both CVS and Walgreens will have all items 50% with lots of candy options to choose from! Love finding cheap coffee and other practical items this way! Jamie grabbed the gift set pictured above for $7.50!
7. TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls
TJ Maxx Winter Clearance event actually ALREADY STARTED online! In addition – stores will have lots of decor 50% off – and that will be the same at Ross and Marshalls 🙂 Great time to get a few nice things to spruce up your decor for next year!
They usually have really nice Christmas cards – so that's another thing you can check off your list early by purchasing them now.
8. Sam's
Sam's Club will have a lot of items marked down 30%-50%. So while you are out you may want to stop by. Or shop online and browse the Holiday clearance here!
