Okie dokie folks . . . today's the day where we're going to get down to the nitty gritty easiest way ever to change your grocery budget.Â
In fact, it's so simple that I feel almost silly even bringing it up, but it's the one thing that I continually receive emails about letting  where people share that this one  hidden gem has completely changed their finances.

Ready for it. (drum roll please . . . )Â
It's Aldi.
Yup, that's it.
Not all that exciting.
No frills.
Not even the wee bit earth shattering.
But choosing to give up your weekly Walmart trip and skipping on over to Aldi might just cut your grocery bill in half.
Don't believe me?
Let me show you how . . .Â
Go HERE to see and read the comments over on Facebook live ~ I loved reading your tips!
Here's the thing folks.
Because you're not paying for convenience . . .
- bag your own groceries
- bring your own bags (if you remember them ~ eek)
- no fancy “stuff” all over the store
- really plain boring aisles
- 1 or 2 checkers
You're saving on all of your groceries.
Honestly, I think switching to shopping Aldi only could cut your grocery budget by 50%.Â
Now, there are a few things I don't buy at Aldi ~ here's my list:
1. Diapers. Pampers were $24.79 for size 3 at my store or 23¢ per diaper. You can easily shop at Amazon where the same size Pampers are 12¢ per diaper when you clip the $2 off coupon in the middle of the page and choose to subscribe and save (see even better prices right now on diapers at Amazon over HERE)
2. K Cups. The Barrisimo Brand K Cups were $4.79 for a 12 pack at my store, which makes them $.39 each. Amazon sells these regularly for $.36 per K Cup, and you may find an even better deal if you wait for a sale at your local grocery store.
3. Pringles. Pringles were $1.45 at my store – you can usually find these on sale for around $1 if you wait for a sale. (And really, this applies to almost ALL name brand stores found at Aldi ~ you're simply paying too much for them so skip Aldi on those items and wait for a sale at your regular grocery store.)
4. Coca Cola 12 packs. These were $4.45 for the 12 pack, and I've frequently seen them on sale at CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid for less than $3 per pack, or get the generic store brand at Kroger, Publix or your local grocer to save even more!
5. Meat. Although I've heard so many folks questioning the safety of Aldi meat, I really believe it is just fine. However, we don't buy meat at Aldi because I consistently find better prices at my local grocery store, as well as local specialty stores like Fresh Thyme, Sprouts, and Earth Fare.
I promise, if you really want to quickly and easily see significant savings in your grocery budget, Aldi alone can be the quick fix you need. If you're an Aldi shopper I'd love to hear your thoughts (I thought the comments over HERE were fascinating ~ 'cause I'm a dork and grocery shopping comments always fascinate me.) 🙂  Leave your comments and chime in with what bargains you've noticed when you were there!

Sure wish there was an Aldi anywhere close to us. Any tip that pertains to Aldi is completely irrelevant to those of us in Washington State. Are there any comparable stores on the west coast?

Thanks so much for the Aldi shopping list! On a recent trip I also used your stock up list and was able to find chicken breasts for $1.49lb I bought 3 packs which equaled about 11lbs. I was leary initially of Aldo’s meat as well but I had success with the chicken prices and quality, it has been equal to Krogers store brand to me and better in price. Thanks again Laurie!

Do you know of other ways to save? We only have Walmart and HEB in my town.
