The fabulous folks at My Blog Spark have sent over another great giveaway!  I just received this package in the mail, and it includes a huge package of Fruit Snacks (my kids tackled each other trying to get their hands on that one), plus a few more great freebies . . .

  • Betty Crocker® Gluten-Free Brownie Mix
  • Betty Crocker® Gluten-Free Yellow Cake Mix
  • Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • Honey Nut Chex® Cereal
  • Bisquick® Gluten Free Original Pancake and Baking Mix
  • Betty Crocker® Fruit Flavored Snacks Variety Pack – Fruit Roll-Ups®, Fruit Gushers®, Fruit by the Foot®
  • Peanut Butter Cookie Lärabar® Snack Bar
  • Betty Crocker® Potato Buds® Mashed Potatoes
  • Betty Crocker® Red Serving Spoon
  • Coupons and More!

I was shocked when I looked at all the items and saw that all of them were gluten free, because several of the items were things we already eat, but I know are a special treat for those of you with wheat allergies!   Many of you know that my husband’s mom has a wheat allergy, and over the holidays it’s very hard to come up with gluten free treats that she can have (while the rest of us enjoy our Pecan Pie . . .)  After looking at the items in this package I think I may try using the Bisquick to make a gluten free pie crust, so that she can enjoy some Pecan Pie too!

If someone in your family has issues with wheat allergies, take a minute to sign up for Live Gluten Freely, a website created by General Mills just for folks with gluten/wheat allergies.  And if you’d like to win this prize pack (it’s a fabulous pack of goodies – I promise you want this one even if you don’t have any allergies in your home!), leave a comment sharing one thing you’re thankful for this year as we get ready for Thanksgiving.

I am thankful that gluten free products are becoming more readily available. I live in a pretty rural area and I used to have to get everything I needed via the internet. Now thanks to companies like Betty Crocker recognizing the need for products addressing those of use with Celiac, products are becoming more readily available on the grocery store shelves making it easier for me to shop on a day-to-day basis. Thanks Betty Crocker.

I am very thankful for my Bible Study friends, despite all their non-gluten diets. I have learned that eating sans wheat is not as bad as it sounds.

  8. Angela Myers says

I’m thankful for this website and the money it has helped my family save. I’m also thankful for a baby girl that is learning to make new noises and fills our house with the sounds of raspberries and gigles and her big brother that tells her all about cars and superheros and for my husband who really is my best friend.

  9. Kelli Canfield says

I am thankful for my friend Katie Gardner who is gluten intolerant. She and her husband live in Peru, South America as missionaries. She can’t find very many gluten free products there. We try to send down what we can.

I have never once heard her complain about her intolerance even though she lives in a country where she doesn’t have easy access to things that would help her.
