What’s for Dinner? Crock Pot Baked Beans for the 4th!

posted by Laurie

Need a few easy recipes for the 4th?  Well here’s one that will keep you out of the kitchen so you can enjoy the day with your family!  You just dump all the ingredients in your crock pot and let simmer for four hours – how easy is that?  Here’s what you’ll need . . .

28 oz. can baked beans (I used Bush’s with Honey)
Bush’s Best Baked Beans 21-28 oz can BOGO $1.99
$1/2 Bush’s Beans Kroger My Magazine Soccer (exp 8/8/2010)
$1/3 Bush’s Beans Kroger My Magazine Grilling (exp 8/1/2010)

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 onion, chopped

1/2 cup ketchup
Heinz Tomato Ketchup 32-36 oz bot BOGO $2.79
$0.75/1 Heinz Kroger My Magazine Grilling (exp 8/1/2010)

1 tablespoon prepared mustard
French’s Mustard Classic Yellow 14 oz bottle – BOGO $1.77
$0.50/1 French’s Mustard
$0.30/1 French’s Classic Yellow Mustard 5/9/2010 or 6/20 SS Insert (exp 7/11/2010)

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar I used regular vinegar because that was all we had!

salt and pepper to taste

Dump all the ingredients in the crock pot.  Cook on low 4 – 6 hours.  You’re done!
