We just finished this up for dinner and it was so yummy and works great with this week's sale ad at Publix! There are lots of recipes out there for the Al Fresco Chicken Sausage that's on sale this week, and when I read the ingredients (and was pretty impressed), I decided to try it out.  Here's what you'll need . . .
1/2 cup diced onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 (14 ounce) cans Del Monte diced tomatoes, with Basil, garlic & oregano, drained Del Monte Tomatoes BOGO $1.39, use $1/5 from 9/19/10 RP
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
3 tablespoons parmesan
1 (12 ounce) package bow tie pasta Ronzoni Pasta BOGO $1.29, Use $.55/1 Ronzoni Pasta (try zip code 90210 if you don't see it), or  $1/2 Smart Taste or Healthy Harvest
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound sweet Italian sausage, casings removed and sliced thinly Al Fresco Chicken Sausage on sale $3.99, use $1/1 al fresco All Natural Chicken Sausage (IE)Â Printable (FF)Â or $1/1 al fresco All Natural Chicken Sausage
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Cook pasta according to package directions (al dente) and drain. Meanwhile heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic and onion until transparent. Then add sausage and pepper until sausage is lightly browned (Al Fresco Chicken Sausage comes pre-cooked).  Stir in drained tomatoes, cream and salt, simmer until thickened, about 8-10 minutes.Â
Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through, top with parsley and a little parmesan!

I made this last week when my 10yo had a friend over. Between just the three of us, we ate almost the entire thing. I made it again tonight for the whole family plus one of my husband’s friends. It was a big hit again. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
