How To Make a Boo Basket!
PPP Contributor, Laura, here!
One thing I love about a holiday is having the perfect excuse to surprise my friends, family, and neighbors with gifts! I love celebrating and creating joy – and Halloween is a spooktacular reason to celebrate!
Boo Baskets are a great way to leave a little festive joy on someone’s porch! You can go big or small, but the idea is that you leave a basket of Halloween-themed goodies on their doorstep and disappear like a little Martha Stewart ghost! They’ve been BOO-ed!
What can you put in a boo basket?
For this basket, I picked up a plastic jack-o-lantern tote and a family game in the holiday section at Target.
Then, I grabbed some festive sparkling cider – but you can also a few bottles of Coke or Dr. Pepper or something fun for a family movie night!
Next, I tied together some sugar cookie mix, orange frosting, and sprinkles and attached pumpkin cookie cutters to the ribbon. Michael’s has these amazing floral picks and this little wooden “Trick or Treat” flag was a fabulous addition!
I also put in some homemade pumpkin bars (and kept some for myself, of course) in this cute foil pan from Home Goods.
I finished it off with a tag I made in Canva and attached to black cardstock.
And, because I truly love gifting, I’m linking the tag here for you to print at home!
The best part about Boo Baskets is the ability to make it unique to the recipient! If you're gifting to a coffee lover – you could include a cold brew coffee, or a seasonal coffee syrup! No kids at home? Throw in a candy corn dog toy for their fur baby! The possibilities are endless and fun is absolutely guaranteed…
