Google Class Action Settlement
If you clicked on a Google search result link between October 26, 2006 and September 30, 2013, you may be entitled to a small portion of a $23 million Class Action Settlement.
What's this lawsuit about??
The lawsuit argues that Google improperly shared sensitive and personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers, financial information, and more with third-party websites and companies between October 26, 2006 and September 30, 2013.
Google has admitted no wrongdoing, but has agreed to pay a $23 million settlement.
They're also required to update their FAQs page and “key terms” page to disclose how search queries can be shared with third parties.
How much will my payment be?
Based on the data the parties currently have, each claimant is estimated to receive approximately $7.70 if they file an Approved Claim. This estimate is subject to change as additional data is received.
Methods of payment include PayPal, Venmo, prepaid MasterCard, direct deposit.
How do I submit a claim?

To opt out the settlement, click on the Exclusion Form page, where you will register to receive a Class Member ID and can choose to opt out.
To opt into the settlement, click on the Registration Form page. Fill out your information and submit it to receive a Class Member ID at your email provided in your registration form. You'll then go to the Submit Claim page, where you can enter your Class Member ID and submit the form to file your claim.
Claim Forms may be submitted by July 31, 2023 or printed from the documents page and mailed to the Settlement Administrator.
When will the settlement be finalized?
The final approval hearing for the settlement is currently scheduled for October 12, 2023. Settlement payments will be distributed as soon as possible after the court hearing, if and when the Court grants Final Approval of the Settlement and after any appeals are resolved.
