What is Amazon Prime Day anyway?
Amazon Prime Day is one of the BIGGEST online shopping events of the year and has been going since 2015. It's basically a summertime (and now fall too!) Black Friday that ONLY happens for Amazon Prime members. (Get a 1-Month Trial Here)
What time does it start? For 2024, Fall Prime Day is going to start Tuesday October 8 at 12am PT through Wednesday October 9 at midnight. (Basically REALLY late Monday Night to REALLY late Wednesday night!)
Prime Day deals can range from TVs and Instant Pots, to trash bags and granola bars. You can pretty much expect EVERYTHING under the sun to be eligible for a big prime day discount.

We are watching for these to start dropping for the 2024 fall sale – we should start seeing them at any point and will update as they're released 🙂
3 . Know Which Deals To Avoid on Prime Day
Amazon will be really hyping ALL their deals on Prime Day – but unless something is a REALLY good deal you may want to hold off. First of all – Black Friday & Cyber Monday are just around the corner and we'll see oodles of sales then too – this is not your last chance for a deal! Secondly – stick to your budget and don't get swept up by FOMO! (Fear of missing out…)
Bonus Tip: If you REALLY want to be able to see the price history of an Amazon item – download the Keepa Browser Extension for Amazon. (It's what our deal team uses!) It tracks the price history of each product so you can see if it's a good deal!
4 . Get Deals FIRST!
Sometimes things sell out FAST on Prime Day – so having an edge can help you score the best of the best deals before they're gone! Here are three ways to get a jump:
Add Your Most-Wanted Items To “Your List”
If there’s something you want to buy “add it to a list” to get notified if it goes on sale. Even if you have NO IDEA what’s going to go on sale for Prime Day – go ahead and add items you’re wanting to “your list” and then when/if they go on sale, you’ll get a notification so you can hop on the deal!
Alexa Voice Shoppers Get Early Deals
Customers shopping with devices powered by Alexa (like an Echo or Echo Dot) can get access to select deals early.
Stalk Lightning Deals Early
On the eve of Amazon Prime Day 2024, check and see what upcoming lightning deals are headed your way. You can sort by category (Electronics, Health & Beauty, Etc…) and that way you'll be prepared for the flash sales that end fast. If using the Amazon App: If you find an upcoming deal you're interested in – click “WATCH THIS DEAL” and you'll get an alert when it goes live! This feature isn't available on desktop.
Don't ignore the Waitlist!
If a Lightning Deal you want sells out super fast, sign up for the waitlist! Often times items aren't “sold out” they're just in everyone's cart. But lots of people change their mind and remove items from their cart, and then you'll be alerted so you can buy it at the Lightning Deal price 🙂
5 . Watch for Extra Coupon Savings!
In addition to sales for Prime Day – we will also be seeing extra coupons on many items! If you're not sure how to find the coupon on an item page – just look under the price for the Coupon Box.
