Ocoopa Hand Warmers Recalled for Fires, Burns

Got any hard warmers tucked away for the colder weather?  You may want to check the brand due to a recent recall!  Approximately 1.5 Million handwarmers have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Division due to the possibility of their lithium ion batteries overheating/catching fire.   The company has received NEARLY 1500 reports of these hand warmers overheating and causing burns or catching fire.

Affected Hand Warmer Models:

• ZLS-118, ZLS-118S, ZLS-118D
• H01 and H01 (PD)
• UT3056
• UT3053

*Find the model number AND the 3-digit batch number on the bottom of your hand warmers

The recalled models were sold on Amazon, Walmart and Ocoopa.com between September 2018 and May 2026.

What to Do With Defective Models:

If you find that your unit is one of the recalled models – follow these steps

1. STOP using the hand warmer immediately
2. Don’t dispose of your product until your request is reviewed
3. Write RECALLED on the hand warmer in permanent marker and take a picture
4. Submit the photo showing the batch number, model number and RECALL writing through Ocoopa’s recall page
5. Eligible customers will receive a refund back to the original form of payment, or on a gift card

Don’t throw this away in the trash – instead, contact your local hazardous waste facility to get instructions on disposing of defective Lithium-ion batteries.
