Walmart Chicken Nuggets May Be Contaminated with Lead
Check your freezer! Health Officials have put out the alarm that Great Value Dino Chicken Nuggets may be “contaminated with unsafe levels of lead”. There is no recall because they are no longer being sold in stores, however the public warning is being issued because they are likely still in many consumer freezers.
Health Officials discovered the high amounts of lead during a routine surveillance testing and a public warning was issued on April 1. The Dino Chicken Nuggets, made by Dorada Foods, are sold under the Great Value brand and would have been purchased in Walmart stores nationwide. The nuggets were found to be 5X higher in lead than the “FDA’s reference level” for children.
