We LOVE ours! The shibumi was patented by a group of college friends and was on shark tank. I’m from eastern NC, where it was developed. Our beaches are lined with these and their signature ocean colors. It works great and is so light and easy to pack. When the wind dies down, it can be frustrating but that’s not too often at the ocean. The original version does flap in the wind and some people complain about the noise but it’s not noticeable to me. I heard newer models aren’t as loud. It was a game changer for our family with half who hated sitting at the beach and the other half who could stay forever. The temperature difference is easily 10 degrees cooler. Check you beach because I know they are not allowed in Myrtle Beach. Way better than an umbrella any day!
