I honestly love the instant pot best because it makes really good hard boiled eggs Since we have chickens, our eggs are always just a week old at best….. and fresh eggs can be difficult to peel when they are boiled….. but I use the 5-5-5 method with the instant pot and have no issues at all with our eggs.

In addition to that, I like things like being able to do potatoes and hard boiled eggs at the same time.  So for a day like yesterday when I was making potato salad and deviled eggs, I can have all the cooking done at once.I was also able to make the slow cooker potato soup last week in about 20 minutes from start to finish when we got home late from a soccer game – so it’s SUPER nice for things like when you need to make something quick.I’ve even done spaghetti with meat sauce all in the one pot (although it’s been awhile) – but it’s nice for things like that too.Basically anything that would normally be done in a stock pot on the stove, I’ll usually do in the instant pot since I can brown my meat first then add whatever else in (I have a saute feature on mine – I don’t think ALL the versions have that – although most of them do)
