Have I mentioned lately I love the Dollar Tree? 😉  You can snag TONS of cute 4th of July Decor for $1.25 each !

I love seeing beautiful ideas for hosting a celebration, but so often the cost of all those fancy decorations overwhelms me. So, when I find things to use that inexpensively fluff up my home (for a dollar), I’m always excited. And sure enough, the Dollar Tree wins again.  💡NOTE:  I found the items in these party photos *quite* a few years ago, but you can still find similar items at your local Dollar Tree this year!

This 4th of July Handprint Craft is so fun and an easy fourth of July craft to do with toddlers!

 

 Here are the Dollar Tree 4th of July Decorations I put together….

These super cute paper paper balloons came in one and two packs for $1. They were a little bit smaller than I expected, however they worked perfectly when I strung five of them together using some old jute twine I had in my craft cupboard.

Solar Lights – $1.25

Great door signs just $1.25

Hanging Decor – $1.25

Decorative Bow – $1.25

God Bless America Sign – $1.25

Paper Plates and/or Napkins – $1.25

Necklaces for the 4th – $1.25

Mason jars filled with $0.50 Kool Aid were also $1 at the Dollar Tree, and my husband just hammered a hole through each of them for a straw. (If you do this, be sure to wash the jar carefully as it does create some jagged edges ~ he did also hammer the edges down.)

If you have the mason jars already, you could order these super cute Daisy lids for Mason Jars which would be even more fun, but these worked fine in a pinch!

My daughter also found some old scrapbook paper and used our Cricut cutter to make name tags for the drinks.  (You can see more of my favorite Cricut projects for beginners over here  ~ I love that thing!)

This cute “America” sign was just $1.25.

For the centerpiece, I used three pinwheels added to a mason jar ~ perfect to hand out to kids at the festivities!

I wasn’t quite sure what to use to anchor them in the mason jar, so I sent my son to hunt down some red candy that would work.  He came back with these Peanut Head Boston Baked Beans ~ I’ve never seen them before but they worked and I don’t *think* they’ll melt!

Here was the cost breakdown for everything I used:

• 3 packs paper balloons $3.75
• 3 pinwheels $3.75
• paper napkins & plates $2.50
• 5 mason jars for glasses & centerpiece $6 (would be less if you already had them)
• America sign $1.25
• jute $1.25 (I had this already, but have found it in my Dollar Tree before)
• Total = $18.50

Remember that Dollar Tree recently raised their prices, so this would be a bit more expensive now – but still a lot cheaper than other stores! 

I was pretty excited to be able to so easily fluff up for the 4th!
