WOW. Looking at this picture it sure doesn’t look like much at all for $26!
But it is all organic (except the flax seed meal). I am super super excited that we’re getting a Whole Foods and Sprouts in Huntsville in March. Honestly, I don’t think I could afford to eat organic food all the time, But, I think you can tell a difference with organic hamburger meat and chicken.
Since Earthfare has chicken breasts for $3.28/lb which is only $.73/lb more than Perdue at Kroger, it was worth it for me to pay the extra difference and get organic. Here’s what I bought:
Bought 1 package Flaxseed – $3.98 (I love putting this in my yogurt in the morning with granola – it’s actually $3.69 per bag at Amazon to compare)
Bought 3 packages chicken at $3.48/lb – $4.03, $4.07, $4.36
Bought Organic Apples at $1.68/lb – $3.91
Bought 1 package Organic Salad – $3.98 (the sign said $3?)
- Paid $26.53 out of pocket
