Crockpot Cabbage Soup (Fat Burner soup)

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsps olive oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ head of cabbage, chopped
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 3 tsps Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, celery, carrots and green pepper; cook for 4 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic and cook 1 more minute.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a 6-quart slow cooker; add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on low 6 hours or on high 3 hours.
