Fresh Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 9 inch deep dish pie crust
  • 1 cup brown or white sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • Reddi-Whip or Cool Whip optional for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
  • Combine sugar and spices in a small bowl
  • Beat eggs lightly in a large bowl
  • Stir in pumpkin and sugar mixture
  • Gradually stir in evaporated milk
  • Pour into pie shell
  • Bake for 15 minutes
  • Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for about 45 more minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean
  • Cool on a wire rack.
