I just have to say, if you don't stockpile your groceries, you need to start now! On the way to church Christmas Eve my husband asked what we were having for Christmas Day Dinner. I had planned Christmas Eve dinner, and a big breakfast for Christmas morning, but had not even thought about what to have for our special dinner on Christmas Day. (This is the first year ever that we have been home all day on Christmas, so I just wasn't thinking!) Well, on the way home from our Christmas Eve service we stopped at Publix and picked up a turkey breast (it cost us $7.50), and thanks to my stockpile we had an entire Christmas dinner with NO PLANNING!
Our little family feasted on turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, corn, Sister Schubert rolls (is any holiday meal complete without those?), mini pecan pies, and lots of cookies, and I was so excited that it was all in my personal “grocery store”.
