I must say, there really is nothing like a Honey Baked Ham, and if that's what you're planning this Easter go HERE to print your coupon before spending a fortune! But if you'd like a less expensive alternative, try this easy Brown Sugar Ham. It'll be WAY cheaper than a Honey Baked Ham, and with just a little time and effort, you can make this easy for your family in no time. Here's what you'll need:
Crock Pot Ham – Serves 12
1 cup packed brown sugar
$.75/1 Dixie Crystal Brown Sugar HERE
1 (4 pound) cured, bone-in picnic ham (not sliced)
Spread about 3/4 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock. Place the ham flat side down into the slow cooker – you might have to trim it a little to make it fit. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham. Cover, and cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve and enjoy!
