My girls and I made these simple monograms for their doors before Christmas, and they loved getting to “make” their own! They were so simple to make, and a fun little frivolous fluff up that they both love.
Here's what you'll need to get started . . .
- Scrapbook paper (I think it would be so fun to make a boys letter also, but Hobby Lobby was all out of the letter “J” for my Jackson the week that we bought these! A sports or toy truck themed one would be so cute too though. . .)
- Modge Podge
- Letter (Hobby Lobby sold those for less than $5, and don't forget you can use the 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon or use this 40% off regular priced item at Michaels)
- Pencil to trace the letter onto the paper.
- Any embellishments you'd like (the flowers were 50% off at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook aisle!)
Just cut your scrapbook paper down to size, then using modge podge glue it to the letter.
To make the paper sturdier, modge podge the top of the scrap book paper too . . .
Even your littler ones may be able to help . . .
Have you made any fun crafts this week? Check out my favorite ideas over on Pinterest (you can follow me under ppennypincher if you’d like to get started . . . I love that place!) If you have a blog and have done a little fluffing in your home, I’d love to see it, so leave your link in the comments section. Also, if there’s a craft you’ve seen on a website that you’re hoping to make, feel free to share that link as well (I’m always looking for new ideas!)
