The Friday Fluff Up: Simple Fun Christmas Wreaths

I’m loving this Friday Fluff Up Project!  Two friends of mine found some cute ideas over on Pinterest, so we got together yesterday to make these and I’m so excited to have mine done!  It’s easy, won’t take you more than 30 minutes, and if you have a friend who wants the same colored wreath, you can make them fairly inexpensively.  Here’s what you’ll need . . .

We found the wreath forms at Design World (a great local decorating store in our area) for $2.99.  The larger roll of . . .hmmmm. . . swaggy stuff? was found there also for $9.99.  And the smaller roll of ribbon was just $6.39.  (I also went back later to purchase the cute candy canes which were $7.99 for a pack of six . . . not the greatest penny-pinched deal ever but so cute!)  If you can find someone else who’d also like to make one with the same colors, you should easily be able to make two to three wreaths with that amount of ribbon.

Now, all you do is take the ribbon and fold it in and out between the prongs on the wreath form . . .

Then tie the ribbon down with the wreath form, and keep folding until you’re done! (You can see a video with these directions that may help over HERE.)

Here it is hung in our play room window (my son says it’s a little girly. . . hmmmmm) 😉

And, check out my friends Nikki & Misty’s projects . . . (I love that you can do these in so many different ways!)

This one costs $105 over on Etsy. . . YIKES!  But such a cute idea 🙂

Have you made any fun crafts this week?  Check out my ideas over on Pinterest (you can follow me under ppennypincher if you’d like to get started . . . I love that place!) If you have a blog and have done a little fluffing in your home, I’d love to see it, so leave your link in the comments section.  Also, if there’s a craft you’ve seen on a website that you’re hoping to make, feel free to share that link as well (I’m always looking for new ideas!)

  2. susan kramer says:

Now you’ve gone and done it! I’m already addicted to Pinterest and now you’ve contributed to everyone else’s demise! LOL Your wreath is so, so cute! Haven’t seen those wreath forms before and wondered how everyone got their wreaths and this new material to look so great! On my way out to go look for these!!! Thanks agian, and how do I find you on Pinterest?

  3. How did you put the ribbon on? The wreath is so cute!!!

    • Hey Denise! You just kind of put it between those prongs, then tie the prongs down (they’re made out of metal similar to a clothes hanger, so they’re pretty pliable). You just kind of fluff them up in between each set of prongs and fold them down (it’s so easy!)

  4. Diane Brady Hecksher says:

When I took my bath today my loofah came apart, first thing I thought of was making a wreath, I paid $1 for it wondering if it works now that would really be a penny pincher

  5. What size was your fluffy stuff? And your other ribbon. Please give details on supplies, I cant tell what to get.

  6. Jenna Bates O'Rourke says:

It is called deco mesh, fyi 🙂
