My friend Kathryn posted this picture on her Facebook page, and all I could think of was how much she must have spent. Guess how much it coster her (y'all will never believe this…) TEN DOLLARS…. WOOHOOT!
Here's how she did it:
“I chopped (well Dustin chopped) the corn stalks from a local farmer that we know (FREE), the ribbon was given to me by my aunt, purchased the scarecrows at a yard sale for 50 cents, cut a pair of old pj pants for their pants (also FREE), then the wreath is a repeat from the last several years, I bought the stuff on clearance one year after thanksgiving. So all in all about 10 bucks!!! SUPER EASY!”
Way to go Kathryn – I love it! (I really like the “R” in the middle of the wreath – I'm betting those would be super cheap at Hobbly Lobby this week!) I just grabbed mums for my front porch yesterday (local readers, Reseda Nursey has beautiful mums right now for $9.99), so I'm ready to finish up a little more fall fluffing this weekend to keep up with Kathryn 😉
