Our twelve-year old has been begging for a desk in his bedroom to use as a quiet place to work (and a little extra peace from his ever-so-noisy sisters. . . ), but I really didn't want to shell out a few hundred dollars to purchase extra furniture. As luck would have it, we were about to get rid of an incredibly worn out computer desk, and it turned out to be just the size he needed for his room after removing the computer hutch (I love it when that happens!) Here's a peek at how an old can of black paint fluffed up his bedroom, and didn't cost us a single penny. 😉
Before
(the minute we hauled the desk into his room he just had to set it up with some “stuff”)
After
While it wasn't a huge project, I'm amazed at what just a couple coats of paint did to fluff up his room, and he's been loving having his own spot to work in each night.
