My friend Misty sent over this great Friday Fluff Up project for you guys! It should cost just a few dollars to make, and such a fun way to use wax paper (who knew?)
Here is a new idea to try with wax paper. Use it to create your own garland or faux capiz shell decorations!
Here's what you need:
- Wax paper
- Hot glue
- Clear fishing line
- Circle punch or Cricut (or a steady hand for cutting)
Use your Cricut or circle punch to make a bunch of circles from wax paper. I used two sizes, but you can use as many or few as you like. Mine are 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch on the Cricut.
Then put your circles in the pattern you like.
Next lay your fishing line down the middle of each circle.
Put a drop of glue in the middle of each circle on top of the fishing line.
Immediately cover with a circle of the same size, sandwiching the fishing line and glue in the middle.
Continue this process until you have the length of garland or amount of streamers that you need.
I used several streamer to decorate a light fixture like capiz shells.
Thanks so much Misty for sharing! Have you made any fun crafts this week? Check out my ideas over on Pinterest (you can follow me under ppennypincher if you’d like to get started . . . I love that place!) If you have a blog and have done a little fluffing in your home, I’d love to see it, so leave your link in the comments section. Also, if there’s a craft you’ve seen on a website that you’re hoping to make, feel free to share that link as well (I’m always looking for new ideas!)
