Since we have another week off of school, I thought I'd post another appetizer recipe in place of something to “Hurry Up and Eat”. This recipe looks so yummy and would be perfect to take to a New Years Eve party. And, thanks to Publix, it'll be a super deal too! Here's the recipe:
Olive Pecan Spread
8 ounces cream cheese, softened (On Sale $1.25, use $1/1 Winter Family Savings Booklet or $.50/2 from 12/6SS)
1/2 cup mayonnaise (I can hardly believe there aren't mayonaise coupons out there, but I couldn't find any!)
1 (5 ounce) jar sliced green olives, drained (Lindsay Olives BOGO $1.99, use $1/2 HERE)
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts (Emerald Nuts BOGO $3.29, use $1.50/2; $1/1 from 11-08-09 SS, if pecans or walnuts are included in the sale)
Mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, olives and pecans in a bowl. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
Serve with crackers (hopefully you bought some on sale last week!) I'm thinking that if you don't have any crackers to serve it with, you could also serve it with Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps (On Sale $2, use $1/1 HERE)
