After last week's slightly disastrous attempt at price matching the Aldi ad at Walmart, I decided to just make a quick Aldi run tonight. Their grapes looked fantastic (I think might be the same brand our local Walmart carries), but the strawberries were pretty pitiful. (They were priced at $.99 and I almost grabbed some, but they were just too picked over ~ maybe tomorrow they'll re-stock!)
Here's what I picked up at Aldi tonight for $11.11 plus tax:
- 2 cans pumpkin (can't wait to make some Pumpkin Bread ~ yum!) $.89
- 2 lb. bananas $.44/lb.
- 2 lb. grapes $.99/lb.
- Flour $1.49
- 2 gallons milk $2.49
- Total = $11.11 plus tax out of pocket
And, here are a few price checks for your viewing enjoyment (I was pretty excited about the prices on maraschino cherries and pumpkins . . . you just never know what you're going to find at Aldi!)
Do you have any specific deals you always shop Aldi for? I'd love to know what they are! You can also check out the list of deals in their weekly ad over HERE.
