Ink or Laser Printer: Which Is Best?
Yesterday on Facebook Live I mentioned this deal I saw at Target on this Canon Ink Printer for $79.99 (reg $179.99) (which is the same price over on Amazon, shipped to your door!)
Lots of folks were curious though as to whether a Laser or Ink Jet printer is best, so I thought I'd list the pros and cons for anyone looking for the best option.
I personally think the Brother Laser Printer in black and white is my favorite option (I paid $129, but it's dropped as low as $113) and so worth it. It pritnts as well as copies and scans + has wireless printing available.
If you don't want all the bells and whistles (no copying or scanning) this Brother Laser print for just $89.99 shipped is an incredible price (Laurie had the same one for several years until upgrading to this one because of needing color capability for kids school projects.)
But there are defiantly ways to save if you have an ink printer! So do not give up on it and buy a laser printer. 😉
Pro – you only replace the laser ink cartridge every 9 -12 months (less often if you print coupons or anything else less)
Con – the cartridges typically cost $50-$60, so it's a lot out of pocket but lasts much longer
Pro – the printers usually tend to be cheaper when purchasing
Pro – You may be able to get your ink cartridge refilled rather than buying a new one ~ check out your local Costco to see if they offer ink refilling.
Con- Ink has to be replaced more and tends to be more expensive in the long run (my college kiddo goes through around 10 cartridges a year which is crazy and making me think I need to get her a laser printer too.)
Amazon – Canon PIXMA Printer $79.99 (Reg $179.99)!
Do you have an ink jet or laser printer for printing coupons? I'd love to hear which you like best – leave a comment to share (we love hearing from you!)
