If you're planning to spend Valentine's Day at home (like we are!) you might want to try this yummy recipe for Chocolate Fondue – did I say yummy? It's not too expensive, and you can pick up some Sara Lee Pound Cake and Strawberries (both on sale at Publix this week!) for dipping. Your kids will love to help make this, and you'll have a nice little Valentine's Day Dessert right from your own kitchen. Here's what you'll need:
1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
Use $.75/1 HERE
2/3 cups sugar
Hopefully you got some free last week with the penny item!
2 (5 oz.) cans evaporated milk
$.50/2 Carnation from 1/24 SS or $.50/2 HERE
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine 1st 3 ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring often. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Serve warm, and store in fridge up two weeks. Be careful to STIR CONSTANTLY so you don't scald the chocolate (I'm so bad about remembering that!)
