Here's what I grabbed this week at Publix! It has been a crazy week at our house, so I only made it to Publix once (and no drug stores runs!) I will have to go back to get a few things for some of our meals next week, but I have plenty of room in our budget to cover those.
I spent $32.83 ($5.71 of that was in tax!) and saved $95.42, so I was pretty happy with my deals. I'm thrilled to have a decent amount cereal (finally!) and quite a few good deals to add to my stockpile!
Here's what I'll be donating to our Food Pantry this week. I was thrilled to find the cheap rice, Dial Soap (look for $1/1 coupon in Walgreens monthly coupon book!) and Lysol. I think I spent around $3 for everything pictured, so there were some pretty great deals out there!
I do want to share a little warning (maybe just preparation) for you Publix shoppers. For the first time EVER, my cashier (one of my favorites!) really scrutinized my coupons. She took the entire stack, and scanned them one by one as she scanned the item (she did this to the sweet couponer in front of me also, who was shopping with two little ones!) The cashier was very nice about it, but definitely wanted to check each coupon. I just wanted to share this with any of you newer couponers so you weren't in shock!
That said, she did accept every one of my coupons without any problem. I asked what I could do to make the process a little easier, and she suggested putting the coupons together in order with the item to be scanned. (I'm really not sure how to easily do that, but I'll work on it!) They still took my Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Star Market competitor coupons without a hitch, but I did want you to be aware to plan a little extra time to check out!
