With all the great Holiday Food Box deals at Kroger this week, I skipped my regular Publix run and only shopped Kroger (I hardly ever shop Kroger!) I'll probably do a quick Publix trip this weekend to get a few deals there too, but after an hour in Kroger with my three year old, she and I were done. (I'm so spoiled at Publix because I know where everything is – at Kroger it's as if I've been sent to a foreign land!)
Despite having to check out twice because there was an error in my Mega Event purchase and Kroger being out of many of the items I went for, the deals were worth the trip. I had been thinking about posting a series on how to shop with young children, however I realized today that I have no business telling anyone how to shop with young children! My one quick tip though after today's experience would be to only shop at stores that you know very well if you're hoping to coupon with little ones! I'm betting I went up and down every aisle in Kroger at least 2-3 times because I just didn't know where things were located, which made for a pretty miserable trip for both of us. (Note to self . . . do not coupon through lunch with an . . . . ummmm . . . active pre-schooler . . . .)
Here's what I grabbed for $15.32 plus $2.37 in tax at Kroger . . .
