Have I told you lately I love Publix? (Go ahead and hum the tune!) This week I got lots of great deals and I'm so excited about all my potatoes! Here are my two shopping trips . . .
I got all that for just $46.27, and was thrilled to stock up on quite a bit of fresh produce thanks to a Kroger $3/$15 Produce coupon I had (it was about to expire and I figured it was worth using even with some higher priced produce!) In this trip I saved $91.10, and I did run to Wal Mart for those DiGiorno Pizzas. This doesn't look like all that much in the picture, but there are SEVEN of those Immaculate Baking Cookie Doughs in there – those alone would have cost over $21 without the coupons and sale! So, not too bad a trip!
Here's the quick run I made this morning to grab some potatoes :). I spent $5.97 and saved $20.43. I was so mad at myself because when I was at my in-laws home this weekend I printed EIGHT $.40/1 potato coupons, and when I got home I couldn't find them – ughhhhhh! But, I couldn't believe it when I walked through Publix and there was a lady handing out samples of Yoplait and she handed me a coupon booklet with a $1/2 Betty Crocker Potatoes coupon right in it! I never see sample ladies in my store – she must have been an angel :)!
When I told her why I needed them she kept handing me more books! She even said that she hadn't been able to give lately to her food pantry so figured she could help out by giving me more booklets (and never being one to give up a coupon, I just had to take them!) I guess God was telling me to pick up a few more potatoes :).
Finally, here's what I'm donating this week. I think I spent around $6 for all of that – not bad at all! I couldn't believe the free Prevaicid and Bayer Aspirin, and you gotta love toothpaste for a quarter!
And, I just have to share with you what my new neighbor brought me this week to donate . . .
She moved here from Arizona a month ago and we were talking about the best grocery stores to shop at (little did she know I'm a Publix freak). She thought Publix was too expensive, but then she came to our couponing class and is already couponing like a pro – GREAT JOB LIZ!!!
I've got to stop typing and get ready for my “little” boy's tenth birthday in two hours! Wish me luck! (The cake has been a disaster so far . . .)
