Whew! I just finished all my grocery shopping and I am exhausted! It got me thinking, this couponing thing is fabulous, but it is some work too! Do you ever feel that way? When I got home and figured up my savings though, I decided getting paid $150 for 2 1/2 hours of work is not too a bad payout!
I spent $54.94 plus $8.98 in tax for all these groceries, after my $10 Publix Conagra Rebate. We haven't done a major stock up in weeks, so I'm pretty pleased with these deals! Here's what we got . . .
I don't know if you can see it well in the picture, but my Kroger had their Perdue chicken breast marked down to $1.49/lb., so I stocked up on tons of meat (I had to grab a few $.77/lb. whole chickens too!), and I even grabbed carrots and grapes but left them at the store (I hate when I do that!) Our pantry needed a major stock up, so I'm thrilled to be back in the swing of things.

Whew! That was quite a shopping trip! Looks like you did a great job restocking your pantry. Is it just me, or do we not get as much stock-up shopping done during the summer months?
I do the same thing Jennifer! I’m so glad to be back and re-stocked – almost makes getting ready for back to school worth it!
I spent $105 and saved $53 at Publix with just using internet coupons for a family of 5. I’m thinking I should get a Sunday subscription of the newspaper so I can get more coupons!
Great job Kristin! The Sunday coupons definitely help, but I’ve founded it cheaper just to pick up the paper on Sunday (it’s a little more expensive here to get it delivered), and that way I can get extras when it’s a good week (like last weekend – but I forgot and only got two!)
