I have an exposed basement and an unable to use the tractor to cut the hills. I’m 110 pounds and in my very late 40’s, so I needed something not too heavy for me to push up and down hills. This meets my needs. The battery has not even drained halfway by the time I am done. Love the mulch option and the bagging option. Love that so can fold it up and tuck it away until I need it. I did have to watch a YouTube video on how to fold it once it was assembled.Maybe 15 minutes to put together out of the box. Maybe 1 minute to remove the battery and food for storage. This mower totally meets my needs. Pictured is a teen girl using it today (I bribed her to push mow while I drove the tractor, haha!).
I purchased this because our faithful 2005 Husqvarna riding mower finally died and I really didn’t want to sea with gas, oil changes and the like.I’ve used it 3 times so far.It shipped just fine, packed fine and set up was easy. Both batteries was DOA (dead on arrival)It’s takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to change the batteries. I went ahead and purchased a second charging dock before the mower arrived. You’re going to need it.I have a .71 acre lawn. I am able to cut the front, the two sides and the back up to my tree/ shed on the two batteries. Takes about 40 minutes at a good pace and without using the self propel.I’m a 42 year old female in good shape, I don’t need the self propel option but heard it siphons the batteries quicker. Plus if your grass is thicker, which mine is on the one side due to the shade, it bogs it down a bit draining the battery further.Once those areas are mowed, the second batter has one light left but still going. I throw both back on the charger and wait another hour and 20 minutes, then my husband cuts the rest of the yard.I like the fact the mower is very quiet. It’s light weight, easy to maneuver. It folds up in the garage. You can pop the batteries in it, hold down the button then the lever and mow! Simple.I don’t like the false advertisement about how long these batteries go for. I will be purchasing two more batteries so I don’t have to wait for the recharge. In the end, I love the decision we made. Hopes this helps in decision making.Update:My 4th time using it, I used two fully charged batteries, took my time in the front yard and two sides of the house, using the grass catcher, it LITERALLY used ONE battery.I’m not sure what changed but the other batter had 4 lights still🤷🏽♀️ hope this helps someone. Maybe it was me going slower than the first 3 times. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Love it So Far! Great for Big Kids and Teens!
First, we have a BIG yard. 1.5 acres. I'm one of those crazies who will never buy a riding mower because I love the exercise of a push mower, so I was definitely looking for another one to push when our old gas mowers died again. I was very excited at the thought of kissing my days of broken carburetors, smelly gas, and difficult to start mowers goodbye, so I drove in and bought this electric mower. However, was a little reluctant when I unboxed it and saw how small and light it looked. It almost looked like a toy mower. Apparently appearances with even mowers can be deceiving because this little guy still has a lot of power! I knew I wouldn't be able to obviously mow my entire yard in one go, but I got a lot further than I thought I would. My yard is very uneven, imperfect and has some sticks and rocks in missed, and I was extremely impressed by the way this little mower handled everything. One big plus: this is great for kid training! Two of my kids happily mowed most of the yard. It's lighter and easier to push than a standard gas giant, and this perfect for teaching the rising generation how to work hard. Truly very pleased and impressed! I plan on updating at the end of the mowing season.
