Five Minute Challenge: The Laundry Room (Day Two)

Here’s your five minute challenge for the day (ready to work on that laundry room again?)

Grab a rag and some inexpensive cleaner, and thoroughly wipe down the tops, front, and sides of your washer and dryer.  Completely clean out your lint filter (you can see tips on how to wash it HERE), and tidy up any other areas on the tops of your washer & dryer that you needs to be cleaned up.

You may want to also check out this super smart idea that I found on Pinterest for a shelf above your washer and dryer to keep stuff from falling behind them.  So clever!

See previous five minute challenges. Do you have any fun unique cleaning tips? I’d love to hear them! Leave a comment to share . . . I promise, I’m always looking for new ideas.

  1. Joni Curry says:

I love when my laundry area is clean (which doesnt happen all that often) folded clothes on top stacked too high, lint on the floor instead of the trash can. I have front loaders but they are not stackable; I never thought about the shelf across the tops. I know what my weekend project will be. Maybe that will inspire all of us to put the clothes and lint where they are suppose to be. A family of five has to be a team, right. Thanks for all you ideas. Joni

    • If you all add the shelves Joni, I’d love to see the before and after picture! With five people you definitely have to work on it together, and I’d love to see if it works for you 🙂
